EXPANDING THE RANGE OF SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
Circular Matters uses a proprietary process to convert plant-derived biomass into an alternative to synthetic materials and fossil-based polymers. Instead of using established biomass streams (e.g. polysaccharides extracted from corn), we are able to valorise sidestreams that are currently less used. Our processes convert this type of biomass into materials with an interesting and unique set of properties. This way we are expanding the possibilities of what can be achieved with biobased materials.
A White Paper on Circular Matters’ science is available on request for partners.

Circular panels
— Ready to apply
Circular panels for your projects

In response to urgent global issues like waste, pollution and resource-inefficiency, Circular Matters Panels allow designers, architects and creators to make better spaces and products. The panels allow you to rethink the use of resources, and to design spaces and products with a circular economy in mind.
Our panels are used by designers who want to create healthy, beautiful spaces and products, and who want to make a statement though their materials choice. Our materials inspire, show how a local impact can be made and start conversations.

— Material properties and processing
Remove the toxic resins, keep the way you work

The Circular Matters Panels are at the forefront of sustainable innovation, but the machines you need to process them are old-school.
-
- Milling and drilling: no problem
- Sawing: just use your panel saw
- Hinges or runner systems: we know which systems to use
High performance and durability are part of sustainability. Our materials are thin but strong: our panels are equally strong as their regular counterparts, but thinner. Thin material means less material, which means a decrease in both cost and CO₂ – better for everyone!

Some properties you might like:
• Thin panels, thanks to high material strength
• Naturally flame retardant and self-extinguishing
• Processable with your existing machines
• An honest material, coloured to the core

Co-developed 3D products
Moulded objects, according to your design

Our novel material can be applied in multiple markets. Therefore, we want to collaborate.
• Do you see an opportunity for the strength of wood combined with the 3D-moulding capabilities of plastics?
• Do your customers expect an increased sustainability effort from you?
• Does a strong and rigid, but still biodegradable material spark your interest?
• Do you want good fire retarding properties, without the added chemicals?
• Do you see other opportunities?
We’re currently working with a select group of companies to get first 3D-objects to the market. We provide material and advise, you are responsible for market knowlegde, product design and commercialisation.
